On December 8, 2024, the Special Victims Bureau (SVB) once again brought holiday joy to local families as it hosted the 38th Annual Christmas Wonderland event at the STARS Center. The theme was Paw Patrol, and it was a hit delighting both children and adults alike.

This year marks a significant milestone as we celebrate the 38th anniversary of the “999 for Kids” Program, a remarkable initiative that embodies the spirit of community support for children who have endured the unimaginable pain of child abuse.

This year marks the 38th anniversary of the “999 for Kids” Program. Through Department efforts, this program has played a significant role in the lives of thousands of children throughout Los Angeles County.  The program provides a beam of hope for children who have endured unimaginable hardships.

On December 3, 2023, the Special Victims Bureau (SVB) celebrated the 37th annual Christmas Wonderland event at STARS Center.  The “999 for Kids” program is a partnership between the Special Victims Bureau, the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), and the community to provide financial support to children who are victims of child abuse and neglect. 

This year marks the 37th anniversary of the “999 for Kids” Program.  This program is a partnership between Special Victims Bureau, the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), and the community to provide financial support beyond the basic needs for children who are victims of child abuse.  Special Victims Bureau raises funds through the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for the program.
